    Whirlpool dryer door opes mid-cycle
    Hi

I have a 2 year-old whirlpool electric clothes dryer. The door has recently started opening mid-cycle. I have noticed the closing latch located in the middle of the door that hooks to the metal piece located on the top center of the door opening is slightly loose.

Any help would be appreciated before I call a mechanic.

    Thank you.

Is it loose -- or broken? It should look something like this:

(the piece on the right is what I'm talking about)

You can see that it will snap out and can be replaced easily. Should be a simple fix.

    Best of Luck,
