My ex is leaving 5/24/08
My ex and her new family plan to leave from tennesse to California on may 24th. My 2 year old son is staying with her while I work at a family business in louisville, ky. We have had our differences in the past and she very rarely lets me see him let alone visit me in louisville. I am only 21 years old and we have no legal custody rights, I have absolutely no idea where to start, I do not have the financial means to visit him California, I am worried that the last time I see my son is coming. I've been there with him since he was born and just over a year ago she has moved to Tennessee. Please help I help I don't know what to do.

Well all the things you should have done is fairly well gone, you should have filed gotten a legal custody, ( proved you're the father if that has not been done) and then before she moved the first time, get a court order not allowing her to move. But that horse has already crossed the bridge.
So you do need to prove paternity if you have not, and get some legal order of visitation, And of course you can always move to California to leave and work to stay near your son. |
