    Medi cal Dentist Aweful
Hello, my situation is this. I went to a dentist about 2 months ago, had a crown fitted and placed. First of all the office manager/billing lady, did the impressions, x-rays and everything, the dentist did not even place the finished crown. The office manager did. She did the x-rays, she does a lot to be the office manager. I have been going to this dentist off and on for years. But this time will be my last time. The crown that was placed was too long and too white. Again the office manager did the color matching and everything. The crown broke off in appoximately two weeks later. I went back the office manager asked how did it break because the post is broken inside of the crown. Good question, it broke because when she put it on it was sticking forward I could feel the crown on my inner top lip. Anyway, the dentist then came in and recemented the crown and filed it down some as I complained that it was too long. Now the crown has come off again. Now I am upset I have crowns in my mouth from over 20 yrs ago and never has one come off. I don't even want to go back to this office, their lab work is terrible, and I think that the office manager has to many duties that she is not qualified for. I thought that the dentist is supposed to deliver the crown place it and see if everything fits o.k. What can I do will medi cal pay for a new crown from another dentist, and how can I file a complaint against this office with medi cal? By the way I am located in Southern California.

Sorry, I am editing. I would think the office manager is providing treatment that she is not legally allowed to do unless she is a dentist. I'd be contacting the California Dental Association and filing a complaint. I'd contact Medi Cal too, they should be made aware that this dentist isn't providing the quality of care they expect him to.

This program is for low income people in California USA.

You write the program and ask to file a complaint, inform them the service was not done properly and you are not happy with it.

Now will they pay for another one,? They may want you to have this dentist do another one at no cost, if they were already paid for it.

But you can discuss this with another office, most likely they will submit this to them for approval prior to doing the work. ** my quess.
