Good for you Starby... seriously. This guy needs to take some responsibility for what happened... Niki deserves that.

He really does, and I think if I don't take care of it today it is just going to get worse! My sis has sent me several links to Canadian dog laws, and he is responsible no matter what... it wouldn't even matter it Niki had jumped their fence. An Akita is right up there with Pitbulls as far as the dangerous breeds go, so if he doesn't step up and do the right thing, he is in for a lot of trouble. Niki is like a kid to me, and NOBODY hurts my kids and gets away with it. I don't have any kids of my own, but I have step children, and that is just something you don't cross with me!

Fo Sheezy, you make me laugh! :D

Anybody on? All gone again? Jeesh, I'm always to late.

Starby honey, sue, sue, sue, it is the thing to do. This guy is a dead beat and he has to take responsibility for what happened. It's not your fault and it's not Niki's fault, it's bad enough that Nik has to suffer and that you have to stand by and watch her suffer, but you don't have to foot the bill too, that's Akita owner's responsibility. He chose to buy a vicious breed, he chose to be there that night and not tie up his dog and when Niki got hurt he didn't even offer any help to see if she was okay. Sue sweetie, but don't wait to long. Take pictures of Niki and her wounds, if this goes to court then you'll need them. Call me anytime sweetie, I'm here. :)

Sneezy, hung over huh, what were you up to last night? ;)

I'm okay, the kids aren't though. Both kids have a cold and they are extremely grumpy, sneezy and sore throaty. It's going to be a long day in Alty land. :)

    How are you sweet HC?

    I'm actually euphoric today...

(No, I didn't drink too much coffee OR inhale the bubble juice... )

I received an email out of the blue from the Dean of Institutional Advancement at a college in FL... long story short, they are pretty much offering me a position... Communications Director of Institutional Advancement... I'd have my own department, be the boss, etc.etc...

I'm reeling... confuddled... confused... euphoric... amazingly exhilerated... and a wee bit scared... lol.

If nothing else, its REALLY nice to be wanted for such a position! :)

Is it something you're interested in? Being the boss would be great, then you can make other people reach for the bubbles and bourbon (kidding).

Change is scary, but no one ever got anywhere without taking a few risks, right?

Think it over, but follow your gut, even if it is tied up in knots. :)

I honestly don't know. Really, truly don't have a clue.

It would be pretty much the same thing I'm doing at my current job, only with this one, I'd be 1) more appreciated, 2) in charge, and 3) able to work on another Master's...

    Rah... I'm definitely considering it.

Sounds like you are really considering it. All three things you listed were positive, you're heart's already there, your brain just has to catch up. :)

I say go for it, but hey, I don't have to take the leap, you do, so it's easy for me to say. :)

:) I'm considering it, yes. There are so many pluses, I would get to work with dear friends - my old designer for the magazine didn't move with the company when we relocated to TN. He is actually the Director of the Graphics Department at the college... I'd be working closely with him again... that would be awesome.

So, lots of consideration and weighing ahead for me... :)

I know you'll make the right choice, this sounds like a wonderful opportunity.

The offer still stands if you want to ask me some questions for your next article. Let me know or PM me, or I could PM you and give you my email address, in fact, I will do that anyway, it's time you had my email address. :)

    Hello everyone.

It seems like it's been forever since I've been here... I guess it has.

It's been a crazy week... I've been packing, finishing up my thesis, and just going out and doing whatnots.

HC: congrats on the job offer!

Wow, and you're moving before then? You are a busy guy.

Hey Sneezy, say hi to my family if you're in Weikersheim, or Worms, or Grossniedesheim, or Switzerland, or Laudenbach, etc. etc. etc. I have a huge family. :)
