desperate need of good advivce

Hi,


This is the first time I have ever used a site like this but I hate asking people I know for info because I'm probably insecure or whatever anyway I couldn't tell my girlfriend this either


OK so I have been dating this girl for a little more than 6 months and we have admitted to each other that we love each other and things were great... however I come to find out she is going to another dance with another guy, as a friend though, mostly because I screwed up and believe me I was pissed but I made peace with it but it never stopped bothering me even though I knew they were not interested at all in each other... so between the time before there dance me and her were getting in little fights that I started because I was worried about it and things went on... now the dance was a few days ago and I expected everything to be fine but I keep getting upset with her over little things... she was joking and called me her and I'm sorry but I hate that and I just got upset with her and apparently raced my voice and I feel horrible and I don't know why I keep doing this and I know she still loves me for sure, she wouldn't be with me if she didn't, but I hate doing this to her its not fair to her at all so I guess what I need to know is...

Why do I Do this?

And how do I just stop it?

You have control over your actions and how you treat others... so if you can't stop punishing her for going to a dance with a friend, which you know happens all the time, and you know its tied to your ticking her off, then its more important for you to make waves than to have peace.

You are going to be pi$$ed a lot in your life. Sometimes its worth the fight, sometimes its not. I've been with my partner ten years. She's italian and I'm irish... don't think there are some tempers engrained in our DNA? Sure there is. But you just have to pick your fights well and walk away from the rest.

Or you can let her get sick of that crap and walk away from you.

Why do I Do this?

Because you need to grow up, and take responsibility for your own actions. Sorry young friend, you really need to learn a much better way to express your feelings. There is no real excuse for bad behavior, and your lucky your g/f is even putting up with it. She won't for long though.
