    A Credit Card Company is suing me in PA
    I received papers from the sheriff that I am being sued in Pa. It is a credit card that I couldn't afford to pay. The credit card company has the wrong name on the papers, but my address. I am going to deny this is my card. How can I win?

    You file an answer to the suit stating your Intent to Defend. You then send a copy of that answer to the plaintiff requesting verification of the debt. Unless they can show that you signed for the debt, they won't win.

    I'm sure you know that inability to pay is no defense.

    Follow Scott's advice - but be aware that if it is your debt and the name is simply wrong on the papers they will refile under the right name and continue to pursue you.

    Then you will need a defense to the non-payment.
