M, I'm going to give Starby my full attention. I'll be back tomorrow, talk to you then sweetie. Keep on dancing, after all, it's a doggie dance party, and honey your avatar fits the bill.

    Nighty night sweet M.

Alty out. I'll be back (you so have to read that with a german accent, and deep voice)

    Later gator. :)

Thanks, it was quite the ordeal, and it's so strange because I keep on forgetting she's not home. I find myself going to the door to let her in... and halfway there realising she's not outside in the yard. You don't really pay attn to the things you do everyday, just not even thinking about it, until you catch yourself doing it when it doesn't have to be done!

LOL... did that even make sense?? ;)

Sure did , having had a dog pass away and then still doing things you used to when they were around.

    So how old is Niki?

She's going to be 5 on July 13... she was born on Fri the 13th... scaaaarryyy, LOL.

To make things worse, it was my friends "idiot" boyfriend's ( I don't say idiot without good reason trust me) dog that attacked, and I have not heard from either of them since it happened. I went to my friends B'day party with Niki... who I ALWAYS bring when I go to her house because she has got a little zu who is Niki's best friends. I just walked in the back gate not expecting the Akita to be there... and he just lunged at Niki, and she couldn't get away.

I got in between the two, and got Jemma (Akita) to back off, and I didn't even realise how badly Niki was hurt for awhile until I went to pet her and she turned around and bit me. She would never do ANYTHING like that... so I took her into the house (we were in the dark at the firepit) and then saw how bad it really was. She had a chunk out of her back the size of a silver dollar (at least) and a couple more on her back, and then a chunk out of her backside, and one out of her inside thigh.

I just feel so horrible that I didn't notice it straight away! I feel like such a bad mom. I lifted her into my van and took her home and called the emerg vet, and I had to wait until 8am for someone to see her. At one point I thought she was going to have a seisure... her little heart was beating so fast, and she was shaking so hard I couldn't calm her down.

So, needless to say, I really haven't had much sleep and I'm just feeling soooo terribly bad for not protecting her!

(I rescued her from the shelter 1 day before she was set to be... well you know! :( )

In fact I've only had about 2 or 3 half sleeping hrs since it happened. I probably won't rest much until she is home safe and sound... and not in pain!

Well, you do know that you have done your best in this situation, and that she is in good hands. Maybe you ought to try to get some sleep. If you are going to be needing to make any decisions tomorrow concerning her care in any way, then you are going to be needing your wits about you!

I know Cloughy, and thank you so much for kicking my butt to bed ;) I really do need some sleep... and a few remaining brain cells, LOL, to be able to talk with the vet and understand exactly what I need to do when I bring her home.

Thanks for the well wishes! I feel Cloughy is chasing me into my room and making me lie down for awhile... hehe... so nitey night... oh I hope!? :)

Yes, I am kicking your butt into bed! :p I need to be getting my butt into bed also because I have work to do for people during the day as well as a performance to do tomorrow night! It's just far too easier just to zone out on this site and avoid doing things! Well, I don't watch t.v. so, maybe this is my replacement for that?

Nitey night to you, too! :)
