    Toilet/sink distance
Can we replace our 42 inch bath vanity with a 48 inch or does the toilet and sink need to be a certain distance apart ?
They are against the same wall and next to each other

    SHOWER TOILET SINK

    Thanks

Does not matter how far apart they are. If you have the room for a 48" vanity go for it.

Always nice to have about 36" of space for the toilet, so if you can get the 48" vanity in I say go for it.

    Hi everyone... ;)

Hey, as a minimum, most codes require 15 " to center of toilet from any wall or vanity. So as minimum... 30 inch space (side to side) is required... BUT, as amricca suggested... 36" is so much better!!!

Anyway, if have at least 15 inches to center of toilet from side of vanity after upgrading to the 48" vanity.. then go for it! (anything tighter simply won't be comfortable.. and guys my size will NOT fit! ). Good luck... Mark
