Installing faux paneling and chair rail up a staircase
I have installed chair rail and faux paneling in my foyer. So far it looks great, but now I want to continue up the stairs. I have determined that the first outside miters for the top left corner will each be 22.5* cuts. Subsequently, the opposing corner will also be the same degree cuts. But what degrees should the adjacent angles be cut at so that they will line up and meet the other angle? Essentially, they are to be equal parallelograms. HELP!

    I think its 67.5

The angles in a triangle must add up to 180. If one is 22.5, and the opposite one is 22.5, then the third one is 135. To get the mitre angle of each piece in that corner, divide by 2. 135/2 = 67.5
