    Is this normal?
I have recently been taking Loestrin 24fe and have been on it not even a month yet. I have never missed a pill and have been taking it the same time everyday. I have been experiencing breakthrough bleeding I'm guessing non stop for over a week now. I have passed a couple pieces of fleshy tissue about the size of a dime and thick. Now it wasn't like normal lining shed or bloody clots. My question is, is this normal to be bleeding this long with no cramps or anything? And will I just continue to bleed up till my period and then have my period?

I just started Loestrin and my doctor told me that I would have breakthrough bleeding for the first month. So don't worry too much. Contact your doctor if it continues next month.

Sometimes starting a new pill can cause weird stuff to happen. If you have a lot of clumps you might want to check with your dr. otherwise, unless you have any other problems, I wouldn't worry until your body has had a chance to adjust.

When I started on birth control I took the same thing... I bled for the first 2 weeks of taking it and then it went away.. so if it continues after a month, contact your doctor

All of the doctor's I've seen and all of the pamphlets I've read say it generally takes 3 months for your body to adjust to a new pill. So spotting the first month is probably nothing.
