Strange way to turn on the ceiling fan.light has to be on first.
I have an intelli-touch switch connected to a casablanca ceiling fan. It's been in place for a few years now. I had to replace the switch a while back because the old one blew out and now I have the following problem:

The light and reverse switch work just fine. But to get the fan on I have to hit the light switch once quickly to turn the light on 'full' before the fan switch is even recognized. Then I can turn off the light and the fan will continue.

    Any ideas?

You need to reconnect the intelli-touch to the other light switch terminal, This will be constant hot, the other is switched and also hooked to the light.

    Sorry, Strat, you're wrong.

InteliTouch switches are a two wire configuration. If it was wired incorrectly, the fan button would control the light or vice versa.

It sounds like the control may need to be replaced again. However they are rather expensive, so if it can be used this way I would just leave it.

Would sound better, if you said, "You may be Wrong", "but then again I might be right" like the song goes. I may be. We still don't know.
If it only works when the switch is on, sounds like on the wrong side, except for the fact it continues to run when it is switched off?

It's a two wire switch. If it were wired incorrectly, the only other way to wire it would be reversing the two wires. The OP can try that, but I doubt, based on the symptoms, it will fix anything.
