    Thermostat connections
I have a Janitrol thermostat that I want to replace (with a digital programmable thermostat). The connections for the Janitrol thermostat has the following... Y G R O WZ E and C. I bought a honeywell model RTH230b. It only has connections for... Rh Rc W Y and G. Can I use this honeywell model? Is there another model or type of thermostat that I need? I just can't find another model on the net that shows the hookups for the wires I already have.

If you have a 2 stage heat pump that thermostat will not work. You did not mention what type of unit you have. Janitrol makes many different units. Gas and electric and heat pump/electric.

I have an electric heat pump/central air unit. But I have no clue if I have a 2 stage heat pump, nor do I know how to tell if I do or not.

If you have a electric furnace with a heat pump/central air unit you have the wrong thermostat. I believe from your first post you have the wrong thermostat.Under introduction in the doc below.
