    I am considering installing a Carrier day and night self contained unit. With their previous problems would you recommend a Carrier unit

    Yes and no carrier heat pumps don't usually work as good I have a friend that installed a carrier self contained unit he started to have problems

    I would say its as good or not better than other brand. At one point no matter what brand you have you will have a problem. That's the reason for service techs and tech support with all brands.

    I wounded get this self contained junk. My friend had compressor and blower issues with this self contained unit

    Would this problem come from the same compressor and motor that most brands of hvac equipment use or was the problem from not having it serviced.
