    Women in the workforce
Hi, I need a comparison of women's jobs from the past and todayy...

What were the roles and the types of jobs women had in the past and how are they different than today. What are today's jobs for women?

    Thank you

Have you been hiding under a rock or something ? Up until we got the vote in the early part of this century, jobs were basically menial to say the least. We couldn't vote, we couldn't borrow money, we couldn't make money. We were left at home to scrub cloths, beari children and do just about everything around the house, in the barn, in the garden and possibly in the ditches. Women were considered quite the lowest form of organism. Unless you were rich, there wasn't much hope for survival.

Am I making this sound grim. Well it was. Women and children working for peanuts in sweat shops.

Modern women are very comprehensive, (you ask what jobs do women do today), we do just about anything a man can do and sometimes do it a lot better.
