I bought a John Deer Saber. I was told it had a B/S 16hp on it that locked up. He bought a 17hp B/S to replace it. It came off a sears. What I need to know is, how to wire it. Starter turns the moter good, but no spark to the plug. There is one red wire that is hot all the time. I am lost on this and need some help.:confused:

Remove the blower housing and check the coil. Remove the small black wire from the coil and see if you get spark, if not, you either have a wiring problem, a bad coil, or the incorrect connections. I really need more info on what is going on here.
