New puppy cant hold down food
I just got a new lab puppy and every time he eats he vomits it back up. He acts completely healthy otherwise. He likes to play and run around and seems to have a lot of energy he just can't hold down his food. I have tried moistening the food feeding him smaller portions and little by little but no matter what he always seems to throw up. Any help would be great.

Take him to your Veterinarian and have him checked out, he shouldn't be throwing up his food. Smaller portions and moistening it is a good idea but not working obviously.

Seriously, you need to get that puppy to a vet right away!
If I were your puppy, I would be praying that someone loved me enough
To get me the help I obviously need.
How long do you plan to keep watching him throw up his food while you wait for
Someone here to tell you... what?

I definitely agree that you should bring him to the vet, but I do not feel that it is necessary to be rude when giving advice. Perhaps it's the dog food? Some dogs have sensitive stomachs.

We had a lady post on here a few months back that had a lab that could not hold down its food. She had to feed it with its body in an upright position. I can't remember the name of the disease. But like the others said it would be a really good idea to have a vet take a look at it.

What was it eating before? A change of food can be enough to cause digestive upsets. If it wasn't Friday, I might suggest waiting before seeing the vet, but that risks trying to find help for a suddenly very sick puppy when the vets are closed.

I also wonder if the puppy runs around like crazy right after it eats... my chihuahua used to eat a lot, really fast, and drink a lot of water (again, really fast), and run around the apartment.. then vomit.
... so now, I feed her smaller portions at a time, I've put some rocks in her bowl so she'll eat slower... and after she eats, we sit down for about 20 - 30 minutes... just watching TV, before we play.

Is it true that as my puppy gets older, he should be fed LESS food? This question seems so stupid, as I would assume that the bigger a dog gets the more he needs to eat. But I just read something about the former.

We adopted a lab mix puppy from the pound. Found out she had Parvo 5 days later. She has been in a 24 hr. ER since Friday. We caught it early (before the bloody diarrhea). Sunday she took a huge turn for the worse, but seems to be slowly improving... She has had two plasma transfusions, feeding...

I just got a registered black lab puppy and he's two months old. I have had him for three weeks. He came to us on pedigree and now we switched him to purina, now he has the runs! So should I switch him back or is there a better brand I should feed him?
Thank you
