    Payroll EI calculations
How do you find the EI or CPP amount for an employee when their gross amount is in between brackets. Example: the gross amount is $2,200 on my list I have 2,117.36 - 2,117.91 = $39.60 deduction the next line is 2,223.80 - 2,224.33 = $41.59. So what deduction to I choose if the employee falls between 2118.00 & 2200.00?

To find the EI and the CPP calculations you need to go to the Canada Customs and Revenue Site and pull the tables.

I hope these come through but if they don't let me know and I will see if I can get them to you another way.

Remember EI is employee amount X 1.4 for employer amount
CPP is Employee amount and equal match for employer amount

Remember the deductions and max limits on both CPP and EI

All this information is at the Canadian Customs and Revenue Site.
