    Son looking for mom
    I need help finding my husbands parents. He was adopted the summer of 1968 in columbia SC. Does any body out there have any suggestions?

    HE has to do the final searching. You can help, of course, but legally he is the only one that can do some of the things he needs to.

    There are dozens of threads about this on these boards, but your best bet is starting with his adoptive parents, and finding out as much as you can from them.

    Next, register with the courthouse of the county where he was adopted (he has to do this) and note that he is amenable to being contacted if a search is being done by his birth parents as well. Do the same thing at the adoption agency.

    Register on as many adoption reunion sites as possible. Adoption.com is a great place to start, as I believe they link to other reunion sites.

    Google searches once you have a name can be helpful--not so helpful if you have no name.
