Leaking Clear fluid
Hello everyone again, so I have been noticing when I go the bathroom that my underwear and small bad are soaked with this clear fluid. My pad has some yellow marks but nothing else just wetness, I have already changed my underwear once today and its wet again. Any suggestions what this may be? I have a doctors appointment on Thursday that's the earliest I could see him.
PS my mucus plug has not gone as far as I know, and I am 35 weeks pregnant today.

It could be urine leakage, which is common in pregnancies, however, it could also be your water breaking. Some women experience a popping sensation and a gush, while others experience small subtle leakage.
It sounds disgusting, but what does it smell like? Does it smell like ammonia and urine-like? Then chances are, it's urine. Does it smell unfamiliar... almost like comet cleanser? Then your water broke.
Try this:
Put on a sanitary pad, and lie down for about 30 minutes. When you get up, if you feel a small gush, then it's possible you ruptured your amniotic sac. If that's the case, I suggest you get to the hospital asap.
Best wishes.

If you seem to be having a somewhat continuous leak... even small amounts, but seems pretty consistent, best to go have it checked. It is usually a simple test to determine if it is urine, amniotic fluid, or just pregnancy related discharge which is common towards the end of the pregnancy. Being discolored, and having an odor, along with being fairly frequent it would be wise to have it checked.

If you are still having fluid leaking fairly regularly, I'd go to the hospital to find out one way or the other. If it has stopped, or is pretty minimal, then I'd wait and see... might just be discharge or some show occurring. If it causes you concern, it is worth the peace of mind to know for sure. If it doesn't seem to be leaking much and has diminished from before... maybe wait until morning and give your doctor's office a call. I'm surprised they don't have a contact number for you to call after hours.

Davejag,
Please understand that we are NOT a substitute for your doctor. I don't mean to sound harsh, but we don't know your medical history, we don't know your prenatal history, we are not privy to all of the tests that your doctor has or has not done.
Rather and asking here, it is imperative that you contact your doctor, if your doctor is not able to be reached, you need to visit your maternity center or labor and delivery ward.

Okay so I did go to the hospital my doctor said he couldn't`t come in he was in a meeting, but it turns out I have an UTI and I have had it for a while. The nurses nearly killed the doctor over the phone for not coming in, they told him they are not responsible for writing me a prescription let a lone make `` this poor pregnant women feel better``. She also told him no wounder she has been in pain for so many weeks and going to the bathroom between 15- 20 minutes. So when they did the tests in the hospital last week it turns out I had a UTI and they just send me home, so the Labour and Delivery nurse apologized for her co workers from last week and my doctor. No wounder I have been leaking fluid and been in pain, at least finally they figured it out.
I would like to thank everyone for all the help.

I thought about it but the nurses said it`s to late in the game another doctor won`t take me on. I am just really disappointed in my doctor right now, it`s not like he isn`t getting paid every time I see him.

Ahhh, well this tells a bit more... having known about the pain and going to the bathroom so frequently paints a clearer picture. Glad to know the cause has been determined. If they didn't mention it, drinking more water and cranberry juice can sometimes be helpful with UTIs.
There really would be no reason for your doctor to come in for a UTI, whatever doctor saw you could write the script. I don't know what your relationship is like with your doctor, other than this incident, but if you are not comfortable with the care you have received, you might want to look into switching. I have known a few women who changed late in pregnancy with the cut off being 36-37 weeks. The worst that could happen is they say no.

Well I didn't know that going to the bathroom and the pain was part of UTI, I always thought that was part of pregnancy so I never complaint.
The reason for the nurses telling my doctor to come in last night is because of my history. We don't have a labor or delivery doctor on call at the hospital, every doctor is responsible for their own paitents, the only time a on call doctor comes up is from the ER and it's an emergency.
I think that's why they got a bit upset with him, the only other issue I had with him was from last week. Where he came in and said well I don't know what's wrong with her and the nurse said call in a specialist. I am just so glad this pain is letting up and I have to say I am not going to the bathroom as much.
