    Faucet is humming
My kitchen faucet has just started humming when the water is on (both hot and cold, regardless). This faucet is only 1 month old and cost us a pretty penny($240). I installed it myself which was very easy, but I'm not a plumbing handyman by any means. Do I need to oil something? Is there a gasket that needs to be tightened

Well, it's for sure something's loose in there and vibrating. That's where the noise comes from. Since the valve's new you can furnish me with the make and model number so I can look it over. Regards, Tom

Can you feel the humming more in one spot then the other? I'm thinking that some trash got up in your faucet where it's found a home. Shut the water off under the cabinet and pull the cartridge. Inspect and clean the inlet ports on it. Now place a pan over the open valve body and have someone turn on the water for a minute to flush out the supplies and the open valve body. Reassemble and test. Hum better now? Regards, Tom
