    Can't Sell Home - need alternative methods
    I am trying to sell my home, but the market is down now. I am wondering if I can sell my house contract for deed when I still have an outstanding mortgage on the property.

    How about renting it out, at least until the market is doing better?

    I'm not too enthusiastic about renting my property to someone else. Everything you hear about have a renter is not good. I would rather find a way to sell the property outright.

    You can use a contract for deed, even if the property is mortgaged. I would have an attorney draw up the contract for you.
