I grew up in the Christian Church - Disciples of Christ denomination. After many years of searching, decided to join a church that is part of the Missouri Synod denomination. Have been involved in all facets of church music for over 36 years in many denominations though, so my roots in a number of denominations are many.

I'm an Elvis worshipper. We all wear diamond studded jumpsuits and sideburns. We have our communion with fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches. We believe in complete humility and respect and we always say please and Thank you, thank you very much.

Started as Baptist. Mom married a Methodist when I was 12. I married a Presbyterian at 22. Today, I don't claim to be any of these. I just believe in a god that resides in my heart, wants me to "always strive to do what is right" and look out for my fellow beings, both human and animal while I am on this earth. Doing what is right is not contingent on believing in the bible. It comes from knowing it in my heart. I think deep down, everyone knows what is good and what is evil without being told by a commandment or any other source.
