I am a mother of 5 and have recently moved in w.my b/f and his 16yr old daughter. I knew right from the start she was Daddy's Girl but didn't know how bad until we all lived together. I have my children clean their rooms pick up after themselves but he doesn't believe his daughter should have to clean... I do not let my children yell and swear at me but he allows his daughter to call him every name in the book... He talks badly about my children all the time but if I mention his daughter just by saying.. How can she just lay on the couch all day/night doing nothing and still be the most babied in the house. (My 5and 6 yr old even have chores) but he will say oh your just starting trouble and your just jealous. It creates problems with our relationship because he won't listen to me and as soon as his daughter says daddy daddy he jumps... My children are even noticing how different things are when it comes to her... What can I do?

What would I do? I would run for my life - this is only going to get worse.

There is always counselling and many of these situations involve some sort of guilt on the part of the father - guilt over a divorce or who knows what - but how involved do you want to be and will your boyfriend even consent to go?

I would be concerned that you have moved (minimally) two children into this situation at very young ages.

You can't change him and his relationship with his daughter, either you keep things in the house separate and let each parent their with their kid in their own way, or you get out of the house and live your live separately.

It was worse than you thought, so maybe its time to go if you cannot work together to resolve your issues to the benefit of you both.

That's the mark of a healthy adult relationship.
