No way. Don't do it! I don't care how mature she seems or how much she says she wants it, don't do it! She's way too young. Is it worth going to jail for? I don't think so. Find someone your own age. There's a much bigger difference between 14 and 18, then say 18 and 22. Don't do something you'll both probably regret.

An 18 year old as far as I know is statitory rape ANYWHERE with anyone under 17 (18 in some states)... I could be wrong but I don't think so. So no, you shouldn't.

Where do you live? If its not illegal there, it should be. Yes, look back through history and people were getting married and having sex at 14. That was when the average lifespan of people was 30 years not 80 years! Look back through history and you'll see a lot of things that happened that were an awful dea (ie. Slavery, oppression, genocide, etc.). Just because something used to happen doesn't mean its right. Welcome to the 21st century. The world and people and especially the rate at which we as people mature has changed drastically over the past 100 years.

Ok, so forget about the age difference. Its still a really really awful idea. What if things don't work out and you still have to see each other around because she's your friends sister. What if afterwards she regrets it (which we as girls usually do after the first time)? Is it worth also losing a friend over? Wait a couple of years until she's at least 16!

Well, it seems like you've already made up your mind. Why are you asking then? If you're not uncertain about the age thing nor the friend's sister thing, then what are you uncertain about?
And the age difference between 40 and 20 is actually smaller than the age difference between 14 and 18. 40 and 20 are both adults. Its not about years. Its about maturity level.

This is like the third crazy post I read today... again, another question a monkey could give a logical answer to. Buddy, if you're questioning your actions, then you shouldn't do it. Not only will it probably be bad, but this poor little girl doesn't know what she wants, she thinks its cool to lose your virginity asap. Do you want to be that creepy guy in her life who she lost it too at 14... you may even cause her phsycological issues in the future. Well if it is about maturity level I know a few people as young as 10 that have more maturity then around 40% of the adults I run into during the day. And I'm asking to find positive or negative points on the choice so I can be helped in deciding

There's a strong possibility, however, that she may get pregnant. Yes, you can use condoms... and yes, she can be on the pill... regardless, it can happen. If this DOES happen, what next? Keep the baby? Abort the baby? Either way, that'll be a rough experience for the both of you. But then again, seeing from your prev post on here, maybe you won't care.
At the age of 14, she is literally not mature enough (physically and emotionally) to have sex. Yes, she may be fully developed and ready to bear a child, but her brain is not fully formed to make good decisions. The prefrontal cortex of the brain (the part that controls impulses) is not fully developed as an adolescent. Possibly a good reason why teenagers are known to make bad decisions.
Have you seen an emotionally stable 14 year old girl? Let's be honest. I have seen... very... very... few. And even those few girls I have seen, they're just hiding it well. If you sleep with her, one of the few things that can happen is
1. she will think it's nothing. It was just sex. (highly unlikely)
2. she will translate sex as love. She will be emotionally attached to you. However, you think it's a good way to get "laid" and to "have fun with a virgin"... that can end badly.

I'm so sick of people in the US assuming that their laws apply everywhere else! If you want to argue a moral point of view, go nuts, but don't try threatening jail-time on people who are behaving perfectly within the law. The age of consent in my country is 16, apparently in his it's 14. You don't have to agree with it, but that's the way it is!
Right... that aside, this might not be the best thing to rush into. She says she's ready, but she's a lot younger than you. And if you go through with this, you'll be her first. Both these things combined are liable to make her clingy. She'll get attached (she probably already is, that's why she wants to do it), but from the sound of things, you won't. She'll want a relationship, and she'll want sex to mean something. She's a girl, it's what we do.
Maybe if she weren't a virgin it wouldn't be so bad for her emotionally. And have you been with a virgin before? I mean, I know it's tighter or whatever, but for the girl it just hurts! A lot! Might feel better for you, but she might spend the whole time crying. Sound like a fun experience to you? The age gap here creates another problem. You're older, and probably a fair size larger than her. You could do some serious damage to the girl.
