I think you're doing the right thing. And you are considerate enough to be straight with her, and give her time to think things over.

If things work out, and you stay together, please protect yourself. Accidents happen.

Be extra careful if she goes along with your wishes. Just because your to old to be a zip darn fool in the ways of a female that knows what she wants.

Well things have gone from bad to worse :( now because of study commitments I can only see her for one day over the weekend , she now thinks I am a distraction and would distract her from her studies , I don't know too many people that can run a relationship on one day a week , I guess this is her way of keeping my financial support while slowly freezing me out , time to bail on this relationship :( it's a shame I thought we could have made a go of it .

I didn't realize you were helping to financially support her as well. She sure runs hot and cold doesn't she?

You can't be faulted for trying to make a go of it, or for having fallen in love, or being a generally good person. It is good, for your sake, that with the truth out on the table, you can move on, and find love again.
