Find someone better that you know that will treat you right and love you for who you are everyday. Whether he stopped beaten on you or not I still would leave. That's not love at all.

Talaniman is right on. Getting him away from you and asking for help is a good start. Do it now. THEN you need to heal and through counseling learn the tools you'll need to recognize an abuser and make sure you NEVER wind up in this situation again.
