So seriously, you need to never talk to this girl again and the same for your best friend. They both treated you like crap and this girl doesn't want to be friends, she just doesn't want you to be mean to her, that's why she said lets be friends.

The same thing happened to me two and a half years ago when our second child was 6months old went to get nappies and never came back. We never saw him for 3 weeks and he asked so I let him back. We are still together but things are different I don't trust him and I can't forget I did it for the kids. My advise would be don't do it I am not happy. But my kids have suffered enough its them I do it for.
