I would really like to understand how she doesn't respond to me at all... like I don't exist..
Perhaps I don't anymore as it seems apparent... however, this is from a girl who would move the stars for me... I want to have lunch to catch up, but she really and truly is superbusy with her work and school... does she think of me? Is a new guy going to replace all we had for 5 years? I am dating someone now, but think of her a lot... should
I just not contact at all anymore and let her reach out to me? Does she hate me? I don't get it? Thanks

I'd send them back to her and be done with it. I don't think there's anything to be "read" into this situation.

I've been broken up with my ex GF for 6 months... we have hardly had any contact since then, I initiated the breakup, and have tried a few times to reach her, however, while
Polite, she avioded me... we had been together 5 years, with a break initiated by her about 2 yrs ago.. it lasted 3 months... and she came back to me wholeheartedly... I found out she dated someone briefly, and a close friend said she really didn't care much for him...
Anyhow, when we met, it was the strongest chemistry ever... im 39 , she's 27... she fell for me instantly, and I her... she wanted to get married, and have a family... but, I had an ex who was in the picture... no cheating, but she is jealous... anyhow, we went on vacation twice and got along amazingly... great chemistry... so, she was getting freaked out since her brother got engaged, and he's younger.. she wanted to know if we were on the same page etc... but she seemed to want to break it off, I sensed it... anyway, now I recently went to see her at her work... she was surprised, but pleasantly welcoming... she had a concert to go to, but she asked if I'd like to walk with her to her friends apartment, her and the girl are best buds... anyway, great converstation, and I found out she is going to be working at the office building right NEXT to me! Starting next week... so we'll see each other I'm sure... and I asked her if she was seeing someone, and she said, yes... it was the same guy from a few years ago... I thought that odd, but a girl I know said he might be easy for her, a rebound, no effort... I asked her if it was serious, she was like, "i don't know, it might be" and we kept walking... she didn't ask, so I told her I was seeing someone... she was SHOCKED, by her face, but was like, "oh great..."... how long? I told her a few months... she said, how's it going ? I'm like OK... but there's only one you... and she said right back, well, there's only one you! And she said, our relationship had a lot of good times, and I said yes it did... so... we parted at the subway, and she reached out to fix my windblown hair, and we hugged... the next day, she stopped by my work, to show me photos of th concert from the prior night... (she really did have to go to her new job to sign papers, which is next door... )

Sorry so very long... question: I still love her, and never wanted to breakup... do you think she is gone, or is there still hope after all the ups and downs? And if so, what do I do to win her back? Or if not, should I just let it all go? I really love her... but she has been avoiding me for so long... now, we will be separated by a buiding no more than 20 feet away...

Mozartrules, sounds like the two of you are still good friends. She likes you and feels fairly comfortable with you. I suspect that either she wants to just continue to be a friend, or, she is waiting for you to make a move. Tell her how you feel! Keep in mind that you don't own her, never did. Ask her how you can make the relationship better. If she just wants to be friends, it should be apparent. If she wants more, give her more.
