Do I wait for him to ask for commitment or do I?
I have been seeing this beautiful man for about 9 months. Its been very slow and we have a solid friendship and care for one another. We see each other about once a week, he does most of the initiating. He seems a little hesitant to move things forward and not sure if dating others. Now do I bring up the subject of commitment or do I wait for him to bring it up?

If you have a solid enough friendship as you say you should be able to talk about whatever is on your mind.

If what you mean by commitment is an exclusive dating one, then its perfectly all right to ask him and see where he stands on the subject.

Its much to soon for anything else.

Don't ask him that will only irritate the situation just let him build the confidence to ask you

You could casually drop the subject into a conversation one day, by saying something like, is this relationship a long term one, as its been 9 months, I don't see any harm in that, you are entitled to ask if a relationship is going to go anywhere, or not. I think anyone would be wondering about this aspect after 9 months so yes go ahead ask..

I think you should do what you feel is right. If you want to be in a serious relationship, I think you should talk to this guy and see where he stands. Just a casual conversation about the subject. If you feel as if he wants to but isn't ready yet, then wait.. If you get a vibe that he's not interested, then at least you know and then you can start to move forward in another direction.

I see no harm in at least talking about it. Bring it up. See what he has to say.
