    Some points here as you are new to this site. Normally I would remove your post since it revives an old thread (I removed another one of your poats that was in answer to a 2 tear old thread). Please pay more attention to dates when posting.

    Also this is the Real Estate LAW forum. Answers here need to conform to existing statute. That is right and what the law says may be two different things. You should not advise someone to go against the law. Please be more careful to make sure of the accuracy of your responses.

    I'm sorry, I caught that afterwards. The law seemed vague there, the lease said one thing, but he was advised verbally 60 days, and the landlord admitted that she had treated others the same way (refusal to accept 60 day vacate)... having been a landlord, and having been sensitive to these issues with tenants, I would think he could make the case that she set him up, that's basically why I said to do what you think is right. I'll be more careful in the future.
