    Interval Notation
I completed the problem the same way I did the other one. I think I followed the right steps.

    |2x-2|>4
-4>2x-2>4 add 2 to both sides
    -2>2x>6
    divide all numbers by 2

    -1>x>3 is my answer

Close. Things get a little confusing when you try and write it like this. What you are saying with your answer is that -1 is greater than x and x is greater than 3 - how can that be? Actually what you are trying to say is that X may be < -1 OR greater than +3.

It's often best to split the initial inequality that uses absolute values into two statements, and then do the math like you did, Thus:

    |2x-2|>4
    2x-2 < -4 or 2x-2 >4
    2x < -2 or 2x >6
    x< -1 or x>3

    Hope this helps.
