Killer, meat-eating frogs in San Francisco!
Did you know that there are killer, meat-eating frogs in San Francisco? The African clawed frog somehow got into Lily Pond in the Golden Gate Park and have begun eating everything in the pond... they even started going cannibalistic!

I guess they have been there for a couple years now and have slowly been capturing them and euthanizing them with nerve poison. Now they want to drain the pond and kill them all!

Any animal rights activists here? What is your take on this? When is it okay to wide put a species?

I actually thought this was a spoof, just to see how many people get onboard with this. So I went frog hunting and found out this is true. Incredible story. From the sounds of it, this frog is fairly indestructible. Can even burrow in the sand until the rains come, so draining the pond does not seem to be an answer.

LOL. I am staying away! Think of it, what would happen if they travel up and down the coast line? Not even the "Terminator" can take care of that. I hope there is a solution to this problem.

Yeah, this is the real deal. Its serious, too! They could completely tear down the food chain!

What do you think will happen after the first human related incident?

Im really curious to see how animal rights activists will react.

Yes, that will be interesting. California has an animal rights activist for every animal it seems, too.

I saw a six foot tall, red and green porcupine in Frisco back in 92. He was on a leash and a plutonium blond Android in gold platform boots was leading him around.
Yea, there's a lot of wild life running around there.

    Killer Meat

    Eating frogs.

Okay, so maybe I am not all together right now, but I don't want my meat eating frogs!!

If I'm not mistaken we bought one of these frogs from petsmart. They made us sign papers that we would not release it into the wild. Although they did not tell us why, I thought it was for the frogs safety until got online and read about them as part of a report my daughter was doing. Anyway our tank went down and we donated it to our dr.s office tank. Where he meet an untimely death with a fish that was bigger than him. I say if something is that harmful to other countries leave them in africa. And eradicate them if necessary. And I like frogs :) peace
