Installing ceiling fan on 70 degree angle
Help I am trying to install a ceiling fan on a sloped ceiling, 70 egree angle. I am just replacing the one the builder put in, but I can't find one that will fit that steep of a sloap. The one I am trying to install is a harbor breeze model from Lowe's. Then I went to Home Depot and asked what they had that might fit and they said that they did not have a fan that would work.
    Any ideas??

Can you secure a block or suitable mount, to allow flat mounting. A good Carpenter
May be of help. It needs to be secure.

We may be looking at this differently. A 12/12 pitch roof has a 45 degree angle ceiling. A 70 degree angle ceiling is only 20 degrees short of going staright up and down, verticle, it would be a wall. Is 70 degrees what you really mean? No ceiling fan I've working on would mount to such a pitch. You would need to build a small box fixture to the ceiling to reduce the angle.

I agree you probably are looking at the degree angle wrong. Maybe it is 20 degrees not 70?

In any case, if the hardware that came with the new fan doesn't work, use the hardware that came with the old fan.
