I need her but I have to wait. Im going too fast?
Hey I am 14 and I just asked out a girl who I've fancied from about 3 months. So the other day I asked her out, at first it was a little awkward then we got to know each other. See I was going slow nothing too fast. Then one day while in 3 period she's sitting next to me and I just take her hand and hold her hand for an hour, just stroking over her fingers with my thumb. Well just this evening I was talking to her and she says that her grandpa is in the hospital and she's a little bit worried. Also Ive asked to take her on a date on Friday but she says her parents won't let her. So she's all stressed out and I accidentally make it worse. Well over MSN she said that she needs some time to deal with the end of year exams and the stress with her grandpa. I say OK, really I'm crying inside. Im worried because I really real really want to be with her but she can't tell her parents and I have no idea how we are going to see each other during the summer break. Please give me some advice because this girl is all I have and I don't want to mess it up!

Please just send me a private message or email me at [email protected]

    Thanks:

Sadly Will I think you are just going to have to respect her wishes and give her the time she needs.

It certainly sounds like now is a stressful time in her life and she has to prioritize. And she has made a wise decision putting her family and studies first. May I suggest you do a similar thing.

The best thing you can do is to not put any undue pressure on her. Leave her be. Give her the time and space she needs. IT sounds as though she likes you so I'm sure she won't forget you. It is just that right now she has to worry about her Grandpa and lots of other things. It is good of her to be honest with you and not lead you on.

Im sure over the summer break if she gets some spare time she will be able to spend some of it with you if she talks to her parents and they are reasonable. You are still young and have plenty of time for girls.

So in the mean time don't let it eat you up. Get out with your buddies and enjoy the summer. Sitting at home and moping certainly isn't going to attract this girl to you.

Being a good guy who has lots of fun and shows her the respect she deserves will give you a much greater chance of perhaps one day having something with her.

So let her be and worry about your own exams for the mean time. Im sure everything will work out fine if you just give it some time.

Thanks Skell, but I decided to break up with her. We fancied each other but I don't think she was ready.

    Thanks again
