    Foxtail in our Beagles nose!
Our 8 month old beagle puppy got a foxtail (or something) up her nose this morning! She was sneezing terribly, and there was even a small amount of blood in the mucus! She let us look for it, some, but beagles have that flap over their nostrils, and we were not able to retrieve it! Then she gave a couple of REALLY BIG sneezes, and seemed to get better. My husband & I both HAD to work, after several months of not working, so were relieved when she seemed better. But this evening, she still occasionally sneezes, and just is not quite herself! We cannot afford an expensive vet bill right now! Can anybody suggest a way to help her? We love our dog, but CANNOT afford several hundred dollars at this point! Help!

If it is anything the vet will have to charge very much for, I doubt a simple suggestion here is going to do it.

Foxtails are bad stuff. You're going to have to go to the vet to get it out. The longer you wait, the more dangerous and difficult it is going to be.
