Some application is apparently expecting to find that Dynamic Link Library (StratusFilter.dll - note the "dll" extension) in that folder ("C:\Program Files\Sokkia\Common\SYSTEM\") but isn't finding it there.

Sometimes this can be resolved by uninstalling the application using software provided with the application THEN reinstalling the application. DON'T just start deleting folders or the contents of folders with Windows Explorer. Usually there will be an uninstall shortcut in the start menu, the Windows control panel's Add/Remove Programs applet OR available on the application's installation media.

In a few cases you can copy the file from the installation media to the location listed in the error messages.

Some manufacturers offer support for issues like this OR a user forum on their web sites. Please make sure your application is compatible with your version of Windows AND the other requirement listed for the application.

Please add mention of what application(s) you were running or attempting to run when you got the error message to any further inquiries for this or other errors. If the error occurred on system startup add that information to your inquiry. The added information might help people determine what is causing your problem.

    caulker51:

I'm not really sure which of three user names you are having problems with.

If you are using Windows XP (and possibly Windows NT/2000) you would have a windows Operating system user name. You would need to take any problems you are experiencing with that up with someone with an administrative account on the computer. If at a library, business or web café that my be a manager, lab technician or IT department.

You might also have a user name for your internet connection. Help with that user name/password would have to originate from the staff of THAT organization. Many ISPs offer one or more email accounts with the internet access account. Your Internet Service Provider can only offer help with the account(s) on their server (with their domain name after the "@"). In some areas the operators of the actual wires in your neighborhood lease those wires to a second company (your actual ISP).

You might have multiple email accounts. These may or may not be provided by the organization that you use to connect to the internet. If the portion of the address after the "@" is different from the ISPs domain names you will need to communicate with the operators of that domain to resolve any problems. Some accounts will become inactive after a period of non-use and there may be significant delays before that user name can be reused by you or any other person, depending on the policies of the email provider.

Note that while email addresses can include underscores (_) they can not include spaces. Typing the address with a space WILL interfere with logging in. Many ISP log ins have similar restrictions. The way your address gets broken up in the first sentence of your inquiry makes me think you MAY have typed a space on that occasion.
