    Deed for Home
When I refinanced the home loan, the new mortgage company would not accept my husband as co-borrower on the mortgage, so the new mortgage is in my name only. I want to take him off the property deed as well. What document do I use to remove his name from the deed?

    Hello I:

He can quit claim his interest in the property and you can file it.

As long as the husband agrees, he merely signs over a quitclaim deed to you for his interest in the property. ( I still would use a title company or real estate attorney to draw this up)

If he does not want to sign his share over to you, then there is no way to force him outside of divorce court.
