    Could I be pregnant?
Hello all :) , I am new to this site and I'm hoping someone can help me out with my dilemma. I am 24 years old and my husband and I have recently decided to start trying for our first child. I've noticed some changes in my menstrual pattern this cycle and it baffles me. I use an ovulation predictor and it proved that I did ovulate this month and I had some spotting a couple of days ago that I assumed was implantation spotting. It was pinkish tinge and I really only saw it when I wiped. I don't usually spot before a period and the timing was correct (I assumed) for implantation. But the spotting stopped for about a day or two and now its returned but this time its dark brown and thick, not like blood. I was waiting to take a pregnancy test because I wanted it to be accurate. Does anyone think I could still be pregnant or is this just some weird period? I haven't really had any symptoms but I figured it's way too early. If my calculations are correct my period is only one day late. Please help . I apologize for the length but I wanted to be detailed.

I would like to say first of all that Implantation bleeding is rare, and normally is normal discharge with a hint of blood. Second, the bleeding you are describing sound more to me like the start of a period. Really at this point there would be no symptoms, and you would just have to wait and see. I would not suggest testing until at least a week after your period is late, unless you just really want to, although you may get a false negative... How long have you been trying? Good luck.
