My hairdresser colored my hair and it turned black. What is the best way to lighten some of the hair.

If it is dyed black then you probably need bleach because black hairdye is hard to fade and get out

If you're unsatisfied with the results then I suggest that you go back to the salon and have the hairstylist fix your hair. You would have to use some kind of hair lightening product to get a lighter shade, such as a high strength volume peroxide developer or bleach. Do not attempt to fix it yourself, it may result in a red/orange shade. The hairstylist will most likely mix a formula with a high strength volume peroxide developer to achieve your desired color without the brassy color.
