Access denied on old winxp installation
I've had a problem with my primary winxp partition on C:, so I've installed another winxp system on D: partition, on the same HD.
From winxp on D: I've tried to access to C:\Documents and Settings\MyUser but the system tells: access denied...
There I've important files to copy before to format it, so, how can I do?
    Thanks

Please everybody include which version of Windows XP you have Pro or Home.
In matters of security there is a difference.
If its home, start in safe mode and right click on the folder you want to to copy. I am not 100% if its under properties or an extra point called permissions (I would have to restart my PC n Safe Mode) but you will find it. Anyway this will give you the same permission Settings as XP pro in normal. Change the user to "everyone" with write and read permissions (apply to all files and subfolders) and restart in normal mode. Now you should be able to copy your files.
If you have a problem post again with your OS (HOME or PRO) and I make you a step by step guide with screenshots
