Lying on your back when having sex while pregnant
I had intercourse the other night and I am 6 months pregnant I don't know if I might have hurt the baby I'm worried because I now read that after 4 months of being pregnant you shouldn't lie on your back! I did have some pressure on my abdomen after I had sex,but it was gone the next day, but I'm worried.

Best position is doggy style when pregnant, now remember that ! Your partner should have had the common sense not to be to rough with you. If you are worried, go get checked out. If I was worried about something like this, and as sensitive, especially 6 months. I wouldn't waste time asking anyone, I would just make an appt. with my doctor right away.

    Jualsy
It would be better to deal with sex on your side, but the foetus is surrounded by fluid and is quite a good way up inside of you, so all should be well.
    Take care!

You should start lying on your left side now, anytime you are lying down. Sex or not.

Any time you have concerns about your baby's condition, make sure you talk to your doctor about it. No question is ever too "silly" to ask. That said, so long as he wasn't laying right on you, and you weren't in that position for a long time, chances are you are both fine. (but don't hesitate to talk to your doctor about it, for sure) we are advised against laying flat on our backs during pregnancy, because the weight of the baby and uterus, etc pushes down on major arteries, and this can cause problems in your blood pressure and blood flow to you and baby. A short amount of time is not terrible(as is obvious from going to doctor appointments when you are laying on your back for the appointment) but it is not wise to sleep or lay in the position for much longer then that. If you chose to have sex in this position, make sure that you are propped up slightly on pillows, so you are not flat on your back. Typically laying flat on your back is not comfortable anyway, esp once baby gets bigger. As time passes and your belly continues to expand, you will be hard pressed to find positions that work at all during sex. Don't stress too much about it hun. I am sure that all is fine. Good luck.

I also wanted to mention to lubricate a bit more that you would if you weren't pregnant. Things down there are more swollen and you need the lube.
We broke some blood vessels down there and were put on "restriction" for a while because we didn't lubricate enough.
And, I am sure you know, seeing red while you are pregnant is a scary, scary thing.
