I have a 1996 Toyota Avalon, the ignition won't turn past the start position, any ideas?
I would say it's either your key is worn out, or the lock cylinder needs to be replaced. Did you try wiggling the wheel left and right when you are trying to turn your key, to see maybe if the steering wheel is locked? I'd try that first. Let me know how it goes, and if that doesn't work, whether it's your key or lock cylinder.
I tried all of that... thanks. Any other ideas??

This might sound like a dumb question, but do you have heavy objects or a lot of keys on your keychain with the car key on it?
