First off, communication is key!

It's hard for me to realize that you love him without ever spoken to him.
You must talk to him if you want anything to pursue.

Talk to him, but don't tell him you love him. Ask him out for a soda (corny, but it breaks the ice) get to know him, maybe isn't everything you want, but get to know each other

I agree with paganheart. Don't come off too strong when you interact with him.

Get to know him better, and go on from there.
