I am buying my 1st home. I am married but have been sperated for about 1yr. I applied for the loan by myself and I am getting ready to close. My question is if there will be a problem by me signing the title on my own for now. Or what can I do to add another person on also.

I am not a lawyer but if seems to me that since you are still married in the event of a divorce, if you live in a community property state your wife could claim half of the house you are purchasing.

It would've been better to buy the house after the divorce has been finalized.

I'd ask your wife to sign a quit claim deed and to agree in writing that the house is separate property,
