    Another stalling Civic-little different though
I have an 89 honda civiclx 4 dr sedan. It stalls only when I come to stops or when I am driving under 5 miles an hour. At higher rpms it seems fine. I just changed the spark plugs today as well as the oil and oil filter. I don't want to take it to a mechanic and get bs'd into spending hundreds of dollars. I also just got a new distributor about 4 months ago. What could be wrong with my car. Could a new fuel filter fix my low-rpm stalls. What do you recommend me doing.

I had the same problem. Changing the fuel filter and cleaning the throttle body and putting some lubricant oil in the cable that operates the throttle seemed to fix that. Furthermore, changing the oxygen sensor smoothened out the ride. But oxygen sensor is kind of expensive (at least it is here in Croatia), so I'd do that last.

Do you get any error codes on your ECU?
