I just purchased a light to add on to a ceiling fan w/no light. Problem is fixture has a black and white wire and ceiling fan only has 1 blue wire for light. What do I need to do?

Connect the black wire to the blue wire from the fan. Somewhere the black and white wires for the fan connect to the black and white house wires. Connect the white wire from the light to the other 2 white wires.

Thank You, It was under the fan speed control switch covered up. At least I know I'm not losing it.
