    Get this judgment off
We live in Louisiana. My fiancé was riding his bike when he was 17 and hit a garbage can and went into the road, although he had enough time to get over to the shoulder and look back to see the uninsured car go into the incoming lane and hit a truck head on. My fiancé was given a ticket on careless operation and was given a $5000 lean, that was 7 years ago. I DON'T understand how they gave him that, doesn't the pedestrian have the right away. Anyway he has a credit score in the 700 but this judgment or lien is keeping our family (me, him, and son) from getting a home and other things. Please help us get this judgment off.

Let me see he has had the lien for 7 years, if you havve paid 50 a month it would be getting closer to being paid off.

And a person on a bike is not a pedestrian for one of course, and for two, they don't have a right to jump out in front of a car either.

He caused the wreck and is responsible for payinf for the damage, the court decided it. So the only way this is going away, ever is if you pay it, set up a payment plan andget it paid off.

First off he didn't jump in from of the moving car like an idiot. And if the guy that didn't have insurance on his car would have been home then it wouldn't have happened.

First go to a lawyer, see if this is still legal to have on your credit report. If it is you need to set up payments and pay this off. At least that will show you are paying it off. I hope everything works out for you and you get your house...
