I am repairing the toilet connection because the metal ring was rotted out. Because the pvc portion was all still solid and basically all fittings back to the stack, the plumbing supply place recommended I use a cast iron insert that slides inside the existing fitting. The pvc is 3". The opening at the bottom of the insert looks to be only about 2.25 or 2.5" This seems small for the toilet to drain through. Am I asking for problems?
