I just bought an 8 week old pomeranian. She has quite a few fleas. How can I get rid of the fleas? Every shampoo I saw said it was for 12 weeks and older. Are there any flea shampoos for puppies younger than 12 weeks?

Ask your Vet. The puppy flea products you buy from places like Wal-Mart never worked for my puppy. I finally asked the Vet and he said she could use Frontline. It's not really that expensive either (compared to buying the cheap stuff over and over and it not working). I haven't seen a single flea on her since she's been using it. You apply it once a month in one spot on the neck (instead of the nasty line down the back).
Skip the shampoo. I am at the lunatic fringe on bathing dogs. My 13 year old Aster hasn't had a bath since she returned to my care in October 04. She eats Pro Plan adult chow and gets brushed regularly. She has no sign of fleas or odor. This will be her fourth summer on Revolution, one of a number of highly effective products available from the vet. It also takes care of heartworm and some other stuff. I have seen many more negative posts on OTC flea remedies than positive ones. What little I have used them didn't work that well.
I have put much of my training and experience with puppies in a sticky at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post251802 I hope you will read it and find it useful.
Revolution is absolutely on of the best products avail. Kills fleas, ticks, heartworms, hookworms, and is user and dog friendly..
