    Dying dark brown/black hair lighter
I've been wanting to dye my hair a shade lighter or just lighter in general, but I'm not sure that it will work, seeing as I have dark brwon hair.

Are there any natural lightening products for dark/brown hair I can use?

    Or

What coulour highlights should I add to my hair?

Remember that black/brown hair has a lot red pigment in it, and if you apply a single process permanent color on your hair, it will result in a red/orange shade. Your best bet is to pre-lighten your hair and then deposit the desired color. If you are trying to go more than 3 shades lighter, I suggest that you visit a hair salon and get it professional done.
